Hotopp Associates designed the studio spaces for ESPN's domestic and international coverage of the 2014 World Cup. The studios were designed for a custom-built space on the property of a private club, in order to capture spectacular views of Sugarloaf Mountain and its surroundings. The design concept plays strongly to local history and culture. The two main sets are each divided into a couple of playable areas, providing a number of configurations for commentary, content delivery, and interactive media.
We are excited for the series and happy to have this opportunity to design for ESPN’s World Cup coverage again after working on the South Africa set in 2010.
